Search engine Bing comes to the leading position Yahoo!

The specialists have prepared a research firm StatCounter statistics for the first quarter of this year, which showed that the search engine Microsoft Bing won second place in popularity in the world. For example, in February 2011 its share was 4.4%. At the same time, the search engine Yahoo! controlled 3.9% of the industry over the same period of time. These results marked the first time since before Yahoo! was hard to get around on the world market web.

However, all this fuss, as you well see, is far behind the main opponent of companies listed above, namely Google, which accounts for 90% of the market for Internet search. This global trend is observed in the U.S. market with the only difference is that Yahoo! is still held by the second in the list of major search engines with a 9.7 % market share against 9.0 % in Bing.
